1. About Kryspal Media
Kryspal Media (“the Software”) is a media server that you install and run on your own hardware. “We” means Kryspal. By installing or using the Software, or buying a license, you agree to these Terms.
2. Plans
- FREE is for personal use and needs no activation.
- PRO is billed monthly, yearly or once for life (lifetime).
- MAX is billed once for life (lifetime).
The limits and features of each plan are described on the Pricing page. During the public beta, paid plans are free of charge.
3. License and installations
- A license is bound to an installation (one data directory), not to a person or a client device. One installation holds one license key; keys do not stack.
- PRO can be activated on up to 2 installations, and MAX on up to 3.
- You can release an installation yourself from its admin console, or from the license website with your purchase email. Installations that have not contacted the license service for 30 days are released automatically.
- Upgrading (for example PRO to MAX) or changing the billing period keeps the same license key.
- The license is personal and non-transferable. You may not share a key beyond the installation limit of your plan, or work around the license checks.
4. License checks and offline grace
Paid plans verify the license on your server, and confirm it with the license service periodically (a “heartbeat”). If the service cannot be reached, your server keeps working for an offline grace period: 7 days for monthly plans and 30 days for yearly and lifetime plans. When a license ends or expires, your data is kept; only paid features and higher limits stop, and they return as soon as the license is valid again. The FREE plan never contacts the license service. 5. Our commitment to lifetime licenses
If the license service is ever permanently shut down, we will publish a final version of the Software that does not need the heartbeat, so that lifetime licenses keep working.
6. Subscriptions
Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically through our payment provider until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; the license stays valid until the end of the period you paid for.
7. Payments and merchant of record
Purchases are processed by Creem, which acts as the merchant of record. Creem’s terms apply to checkout, taxes, invoices and payment methods. We do not receive your card details.
8. Refunds and immediate delivery
All sales are final; see the Refund policy. By purchasing you agree that the license is delivered immediately and, to the extent the law permits, waive any right of withdrawal or cancellation. A license that is charged back is revoked, and the installation returns to the FREE plan the next time it checks in.
9. Your content
You supply the media. The Software does not provide, host or index any content. You are responsible for having the right to use the media you add and for following the laws that apply to you. You are responsible for your own server, its network exposure and its backups.
10. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the license service, attempt to bypass or tamper with license checks, or use the Software to harm others. The Software contains no content. Do not use it to infringe copyright or to circumvent DRM.
11. Warranty and liability
The Software is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the license in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes do not reduce the commitment in section 5.
13. Operator and governing law
Kryspal Media is provided by SUN YIXIONG, an individual (“Kryspal”, “we”, “us”).
These Terms are governed by the laws in force in the Taiwan region. The Taiwan Taipei District Court has jurisdiction as the court of first instance. This does not affect any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live (for example, in the European Union).
